I'm addicted to the letter E!

I don't know what it is as I've grown older (especially considering I didn't like my name when I was a kid), but I have gotten more & more attached to the letter E!

When I was in Utah last year I saw this "E" at Star Mill and totally wanted it, but ended up leaving it behind.  Boo hoo.

BLOG Erin Bassett - Kaiser Craft - E
I was inspired to create this layout by one I saw in the February issue of Scrapbook Trends by Rita Oliverio.

I used my Distrezz-It-All to distress the edges of my photo.  I then used my Cricut to cut out that row of hearts on my background paper and then I adhered the music note paper behind them to give it a reversed applique effect.  I also used it to cut out those squiggles at the bottom of the page. (Cartridges used: "Create a Critter " and "Cake Basics")

I also used some Glimmer Mist on the Maya Road trims.  Gee, I love those trims!!!  {This is the back side of this piece of trim...the front side is all lacy!}

Mini-Book: The Good Stuff

Erin Bassett - Tattered Angles Tag Mini - Remember When M&T Whew, what a week!  I'm so glad it's Friday and that I'm spending the weekend doing crafty stuff!  I'll be teaching a "Technique Tag" Make & Take tonight at Remember When...we'll be making some cute little mini-books out of shipping tags, Glimmer Mist, and adorable Teresa Collins stamps that we'll clear emboss before we spray them.

I love the idea of this mini & I think there's a lot of fun was you can dress it up...I can't wait to play with it more.

Then tomorrow I'm doing an Imaginisce Make & Take...but I won't spill the beans on what we're making yet.  ;)

Have a great weekend!!

10 Things I Love About Us

From the second I saw this idea on Simple Scrapper's February Project I loved it & couldn't wait to do it.  I used my Studio Calico kit on it...which I think was perfect for it along with a Hambly transparency for the cover.  I ruffed up the edges with my Distrezz-It-All again and created the tags with my Cricut and some Chalkboard Glimmer Mist and bound it with my Cinch.   I can't wait to give it to my Hubs.  :)

Out for pub

Another Handmade Christmas Wreath

Erin_Bassett-TLC - Christmas Wreath2
The funniest thing about this wreath is that I made it back in April!  ...See, like I've said before, I don't get the chance to post about everything I make, LOL!

To make it I took some Imaginisce To Love & Cherish paper which had a white background and black designs on it and cut out a bunch of flowers with my Cricut and then sprayed them all with Forest Green Glimmer Mist.

Then I just pinned them into a foam wreath with red and green pearlized pins making sure they overlapped to cover all the white of the foam.
