Desktop Wallpaper

Do you use desktop wallpaper on your computer?

I love it!  I used to be really diligent with creating a new cute one every month to spiff up what I spend so much time was kind of the equivalent of buying myself flowers. Well, with moving I got out of the habit, but since Typepad (my blog host) was down yesterday I had some time that I had scheduled as computer time so I whipped up a quick one.

What made it so quick to do? -I used a free digital scrapbooking template from Soco Scraps and Gennifer Bursett created all the digital papers and doodads that are free from Pixels & Company. I love free, so thanks Soco Scraps, Gennifer, and P&Co!

So since these digi freebies are sized for 12" x 12" scrapbook pages I just added my papers and doodads like you would normally do for digital scrapbooking and then resized them for my desktop.  Here's a video on how I did it (for all of you that will surely send me an email asking me how):

S'more Cookie Bars

Last week we tried a new cookie bar recipe and it was pretty darn good!  It definitely hit my sweet tooth!  I took some pics as I made them and then scrapbooked them with Imaginisce's new "Happy Camper" line that's being released this week.  I also have the recipe down below for you to download.

Those marshmallow on a stick die cuts are so cute!  I cut a little slit in them so I could wrap my twine around them and tie it in a bow.

I used a 3" x 6" shipping tag to print out the recipe on and then distressed the edges with my d-stress tool.  Lastly, I added some faux stitching and a heart doodle.  It can then slip in & out of the pocket on the page.

Flower Shadow Box

I filled this 12"x12" shadow box up with some of Imaginisce's new release of Roly Rosies.  It was so fun play with these by adding chalk ink and paint to them.

Here's a close up of the individual on the photo to get a bigger view of them.

I used my Silhouette Studio software to create the text and then cut it out of vinyl and added it on top of the glass.

And for those of you with Silhouettes, here's the cuts!  I actually made two different versions of them, so feel free to take whichever one you want (or both!)  When you create something with it please let me know.  ;)

"Home Sweet Home" Mini Scrapbook {+ free quote download}

Yay, it's Friday!!  For me that means girls day!!  BUT, before I go off & have some creative time with my BFFs I'll share this cute Cosmo Cricket book I's at Remember When if you want to see it close up.

For that little window I just used some of the plastic product packaging to create it...

I also used the plastic product packaging to make an extra page {which is kinda hard to see in photos since it's a clear house page}:

This is the back-side of the clear page:

And my favorite part:

Want all the word art quotes I created & used?  Well it's yours for the taking!
