Simple Scrapper Digi & Traditional Scrapbook Pages

Here's a couple of layouts I created for Simple Scrapper.  They have some awesome sketches/digi templates this month (April's will be go "live" tonight)!  I used one of them to create a traditional layout...and then another to make a digital layout.

Here's my favorite one...it's the digi one:

And here's the tradional layout.  In addition to the Simple Scrapper sketch I used the Remember When April Crop Kit.  For Crop Kit assignments I'm only allowed to use basic scrapbooking supplies and what's in the kit....so challenging!!  I did cheat a bit & used my Distrezz-It-All around the photo...I was in a time cruch & needed it distressed quickly!

I'm addicted to the letter E!

I don't know what it is as I've grown older (especially considering I didn't like my name when I was a kid), but I have gotten more & more attached to the letter E!

When I was in Utah last year I saw this "E" at Star Mill and totally wanted it, but ended up leaving it behind.  Boo hoo.

I was inspired to create this layout by one I saw in the February issue of Scrapbook Trends by Rita Oliverio.

I used my Distrezz-It-All to distress the edges of my photo.  I then used my Cricut to cut out that row of hearts on my background paper and then I adhered the music note paper behind them to give it a reversed applique effect.  I also used it to cut out those squiggles at the bottom of the page. (Cartridges used: "Create a Critter " and "Cake Basics")

I also used some Glimmer Mist on the Maya Road trims.  Gee, I love those trims!!!  {This is the back side of this piece of trim...the front side is all lacy!}

10 Things I Love About Us

From the second I saw this idea on Simple Scrapper's February Project I loved it & couldn't wait to do it.  I used my Studio Calico kit on it...which I think was perfect for it along with a Hambly transparency for the cover.  I ruffed up the edges with my Distrezz-It-All again and created the tags with my Cricut and some Chalkboard Glimmer Mist and bound it with my Cinch.   I can't wait to give it to my Hubs.  :)

My niece's funny face

Erin Bassett - Pink Paislee - Scrunchie Face
My niece has made this face since day 1...it's always cracked us up and I knew I needed to scrapbook it.

I created it from a Simple Scrapper sketch and used some "vintage" Pink Paislee papers on it that I just so happened to find when I was doing a paper purge recently.  {I really should just set any girly papers into their own file so I can use them on my all the pages I do about my nieces!}  I also used my Cricut (cartridges: Accent Essentials, Once Upon A Princess, Cherry Limeade, and A Child's Year)  to cut out the scallops and some stars and I distressed the photo and the purple cardstock with my Distrezz-It-All...love that thing!

Hawaii Mini-Scrapbook

I could totally use another vacation to Hawaii right now!  However, that is not going to happen...so since I can't go I'll just have to remember all the fun times we've had there over the years.  We've taken many trips there (in fact, we even got married there) and I thought it would be nice to have a mini-album of some of the highlights of our trips.
