Permission Slips {{{Free Printables}}}

I feel like I'm in an interesting time in my creative life right now.  I have so many other demands pulling at me, so many unfinished creative projects to work on, and a serious need to clean up my studio and do another major purge!

Erin's mess

I've taken a few days off to regroup and reconnect with my family and most importantly Jesus...and while I figure out where to even begin to clean up I'll share these FREE printables I've made out of one of my paintings, you can download them HERE.

If you happen to have any good clean-up and purging tips for me PLEASE share them with me!!

Scan N Cut: Handmade Card

BIC - Card2

I am so excited that Brother International asked me to try out the NEW ScanNCut machine, it's so cool! It's the first home and hobby cutting machine with a built in I don't have to be tied to my computer to use it!

One of the first things I made with it is this card.  I used a variety of beautiful yellow and gray scrapbooking papers on it and added a pop of pink with the twine bow.

I used the ScanNCut machine to cut out the scallop circle, the circle, and the lacy border.  I also used it to cut out the stamped "count your blessings" image. You can see the whole process in this video:

See how well it cuts out this stamped image! I love that it's easy to adjust the boarder size and shape around it too.

Quick Handmade Gelli Plate Thank You Cards

This weekend I'm at Fitcation '13 in beautiful Paso Robles, CA! I'm really looking forward to all the exciting activities and connecting with fellow bloggers "in real life". It's so easy to stay home and work when you have a work-at-home business, but I'm realizing more and more how important it is for me to make those connections with other women who are in the same boat. Plus this particular get together is going to rock!

If you'd like to sneak a peek at what's going on while I'm there follow me on Instagramon Twitteron Facebook, or search for #Fitcation13 on your favorite social media sites. And of course keep on the lookout for my follow-up Fitcation post on the other half of my blog (where I keep my non-artsy posts).

So with such a fun weekend I knew I needed to whip up a couple of cards, so I pulled out my gelli plate, loaded it up with paint, and made these...

Simple, but done.
