Mash Up: Imaginisce + Echo Park Paper Co.

It's always nice when my some of my favorite papercrafts manufactures work together instead of against each other.  The great people at Echo Park Paper Co. recently gave the Imaginisce Design Team some of their Dots & Stripes lines to mix up with Imaginisce's lines...and here's one of my layouts...

Erin Bassett - Imaginisce - Echo Park - 5 ThingsSeriously love how well Imaginisce and Echo Park go's like they were meant to!!

Here's a close-up of my journaling.
Erin Bassett - Imaginisce - Echo Park - 5 ThingsI added a bit of i-rock bling (of course)...I wanted it to be a bit darker of a pink so I colored it with my Copic marker.

Had to add some of my favorite i-rock heart studs too (of course)!!

There's so much going on right about an update?

Ok...good news...bad news.

Let's start with the bad.  I broke my favorite camera lens & need to send it out for repair.  I get an error (& it won't let me take pics) in certain lighting.  Really weird, and extremely annoying.  Hoping they can fix it, since I miss shooting with it.

Arrojo Hair Products Ok, the good.  I had a really fun time Tuesday night.  Nick Arrojo had a launch party for his new hair care line at Rituals Aveda Color Salon...they're the first SoCal salon to have his line there.  It was great to have the chance to talk with him... and I'm really excited to try out his new products that came in our swag bags!  I sniffed them already and they smell really clean and not overly scented.  :)

Oh, and did you know Nick came out with a book?  Yep, he did, it's called "Great Hair: Secrets to Looking Fabulous and Feeling Beautiful Every Day."

Nick and Erin 2b

While I was at Rituals it was nice to finally meet up with some of the local bloggers that were there too.  It seems like the timing for us to all get together never works out for me, so it was great to see them in real life.   I really enjoy being around bloggers that are creative in different ways then I am.

And here's my accessory...a paper beaded bracelet!

BLOG Erin Bassett - Imaginisce - Paper Bead Bracelet2
It's super easy to make these paper beads..just grab some paper (I used some of the Animal Cracker line, but you can use anything...even magazines & newspaper!), some type of glue medium (I used Golden's gel medium...but Mod Podge will work great too), and add a few beads (mine are made by Plaid) and some jewelry findings.

Here's a quick video on how I made the beads:

After all the beads are dry just string them and some beads onto a string..add your clasps..and you're done!

Soak Up The Sun

Does anyone else change favorite colors like I do?  While green and turquoise will always hold a special place in my heart, yellow is now one of my faves!  (Previously I was on an orange kick!)  So of course I was pretty happy when I saw this new Fancy Pants "Beach Babe" line at Remember When.

Erin Bassett - Fancy Pants - 1977That's my mom & me!  :)  I love that pic!!  I distressed the edges of it with my Distrezz-It-All to make it a pit more older looking since it was freshly scanned & printed.

I ended up chopping up the papers and sewing them together.  Of course I sprayed them a bit with Strawberry Cheesecake Chalk Glimmer Mist (which is on sale for 50% off right now at 2P's!!!)

I also used the Epiphany round epoxy with the new vintage settings.  And of course a few i-rock studs!
