Baby Wall Hanging

From the first moment I saw the My Mind's Eye "Lost and Found" line I was in L.O.V.E!!  So imagine how happy I was when it became an assignment for me.  :)

Here's the baby wall hanging I made with it.  {The ribbon was part of the packaging on the chipboard album covers that I converted into the foundation of my piece.  Use your packaging people!}

To make that crystal I just traced it's shape on to the patterned paper, cut it out, and then used Glossy Accents to glue them together.

I also made a card from the scraps.

"Full of Love" Book Launch Party

Monday night one of my best friends and I went to the launch party for Nancy O'Dell's new book "Full of Love" and her new product line with Creative Memories.  We loved seeing the tremendous change for Creative Memories in product design and's a complete 180 degree change from their previous lines and so much more inline with my tastes.  Mingling with everyone was fun too!  There were lots of Nancy's celeb friends in attendance along with a lot of Creative Memories and other crafty business people.

Halloween Mixed Media Canvas

I'm not really big on celebrating Halloween so I have no idea what I'm going to actually do with this project LOL, but here it is none the less!  The instructions for it are up on the Tattered Angles blog so hop on over there if you want to know how I made it.

BLOG Erin_Bassett - Tattered Angles - TrickOrTreat2 copyIt's made with a 4-inch canvas, some Amaco ArtEmboss metal, a whole bunch of Tattered Angles products, my Cricut and Cuttlebug, and some fun doo-dads.  It was actually quite fun to make except for the dry time...I'm so impatient!!

Also, I experimented with embossing and painting metal with a Tattered Angles Glimmer fun!!

Fall Fun!

I've had the pleasure of having my brother and my 4 yr old niece staying with us this week. It's been a lot of fun to see them and to do fun kid stuff.  We went to the Santa Barbara Pier, Santa Barbara Mission and Rose Garden, beach, Ventura Harbor, California Science Center, Los Angeles Zoo, and Nancy's Ranch to pick pumpkins....I now have more pumpkins then I know what to do beware that if you come over you may go away with a pumpkin or gourd.  :)

Here's a scrapbook layout on our trip to the pumpkin patch.  Now I know you're thinking "wow, she's amazing to scrapbook photos that were taken just a few days ago" assured that I'm not that "on it"! I scraplifted this layout by Shelly Jaquet a week or so ago and just added the photos and stuff after our fun day thanks to my awesome little Selphy printer. My niece had a blast printing out the photos since it was easy enough for her to use.  Also, this is one of the projects for the crop this weekend at Remember When this weekend so I couldn't procrastinate making it.

Here's the other projects for the crop:

An 8 1/2" x 11" scrapbook layout.  {That's my friend Janice's son...SO cute!!}

And a card made from the scraps!
