Halloween Party Invitation

Erin Bassett - Halloween Party Invitation Card

Here's a card I made with my Silhouette as part of a call for Halloween projects recently.  I'm actually not really into Halloween (I'd rather celebrate autumn than scary Halloween stuff) and I'm not actually having a party, so don't feel bad that you're not invited LOL.

Here's the tutorial for it that you can download if you're interested.

I love that candy corn and all the other patterned paper is by Making Memories.

Zaza Gallery

I was blessed to be able to have one of my photos gratuitously printed on canvas by Zaza Gallery recently. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it turned out.  The colors were bright & vibrant and I love how the texture of the canvas makes the photo look so special.

With Zaza Gallery you can choose from different options for your photo (gallery wrap, mirror wrap, black wrap, and white wrap) and they will do all the retouching for you if you'd like. that!

Handmade Card & Green Craft Idea

Yesterday Rebecca from the Fiskateers had a Twitter challenge to come up with a card or scrapbook layout with a bird on it.  This was mine.  I used the Silhouette to cut out the card (including "punching" out the holes & the edge).  Then I used a Unity stamp to make a tag for it and tied it on with tulle.

I have so many projects on my "want to do list" and can't wait for a chance to do this one.  We have so many hummingbirds around here always looking for a place to eat and I think my whole family would enjoy seeing them close up...especial our cat!

Check out When Creativity Knocks for instructions on how to recycle a bottle to make this hummingbird feeder.

Pink Link

Good news!  In the spirit of Charity and with respect to this very hard economy Scrapbook Royalty has decided to offer a 2 for 1 special for the October 10th Scrap n' Support Crop at Remember When in Valencia, CA to benefit Pink-Link!!!  So, when you register you'll get 2 goody bags and 2 class kits.  You can bring a friend or just keep the extra goodies for yourself!  And, to top things off, I will be teaching a class there.  -What more could you want LOL.

Hope to see you there!!

Scrapbook Layout: Trick or Treat

I'm totally ready for fall!  I can't wait for cooler days, wearing sweaters, and baking.  It's my favorite time of year.

Here's a scrapbook layout I did for my niece.  We all loved her chicken costume.  -It was such a crack up!!

I really love using those dingle balls...the mini ones especially!  I used the fuzzy Thickers letters for "scary" to repeat the fuzzy texture of the dingle ball ribbon on the layout.
