Just wanted to let you know that I may not be online much....we're getting ready to move and are busy with all the things the Lord is allowing in our life. So I may pop in every now and again, but it will be VERY sporadic.
I was reading a blog about Starbucks chairman Howard Schultz morning routine:
sidetracked busy with something else and then just as I'm finally getting to the kitchen to grab some coffee and something to eat my wonderful hubbie comes home from work and says he's hungry for lunch....it's only 9 or 10am...but when a man's hungry, he's hungry!
Howard Schultz tells Fortune magazine: "I get up between 5 and 5:30, andI was thinking how funny it is to have the same routine for 25 years...lately I feel like my routine is anything but routine. My alarm is set for 4am on most days and I have my reading light next to my bed on a timer to go off at 3:30am so it will start waking me up before the alarm does. Once I've come to I grab my Bible and read that mornings passages. I then get up, use the restroom and make the bed. Then that's where my routine falls apart LOL. I wish I could say that I go to the gym, or even have coffee & read the paper...but every day is different for me lately and some days I don't even get coffee because I'm
naturally the first thing I do is make some coffee; depending on my mood, it's
either an espresso macchiato or one of our Indonesian coffees in a French press.
I'll take my coffee, read three newspapers -- the Seattle Times, the Wall Street
Journal, and the New York Times -- and listen to a voicemail summarizing sales
results from the past 24 hours. This has been my routine for 25 years. [...]
|You Are Kermit|
You're a big thinker, and sometimes you over think life's problems.
Don't worry - everyone know's it's not easy being green.
Just remember, time's fun when you're having flies!
Well, I'm happy to say that I've never have gotten a speeding ticket....but I'd love to have this type of ticket. Way to go TX!!
Wow, hard to believe it's March already!!! Time sure is flying by!
I read aninteresting blog this morning dealing with the wait of infertility. Boy do I understand how she feels! We've been trying to conceive since day one of our marriage and now 5 year, 5 months, and 4 days later we still have not accomplished our dream....but I am confident that the Lord is in control of our situation.
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. " - Isaiah 55:8-9
