100 Things

Oh, I thought you might want to check out my 100 things about me too....maybe not, LOL! I think I'm getting sick! J is sick and last night I started feeling poorly too. I hope it's just a head cold...I have way too much to do to be in bed for any length of time.

I've been tagged!

I've been tagged by Stephanie! 5 Things I Plan to Do Before I Die: ¤ Have children. ¤ Travel outside North America. ¤ Show others God's love for us. ¤ Grow a garden ¤ Go up in a hot-air balloon.

5 Things I Can Do:
¤ Teach others to read
¤ Cook/Bake
¤ Digital Scrapbooking...I even make the elements myself.
¤ Find Bible scripture "addresses"
¤ Go out to eat by myself and be happy about spending time with me.

5 Things I Can't Do:
¤ Whistle (I'm getting better - sound actually does come out, but it's a far cry from being proficient at it)
¤ Do our tax reports by myself.
¤ BBQ (That's what husbands are for right?!)
¤ Play a musical instrument fluently
¤ Ummmm...I'll have to come back to this one.

5 Things That Attracted Me to My Husband:
¤ His leadership, strength, and decision making ability
¤ His eyes
¤ His sence of humor
¤ His compassion
¤ How special he makes me feel

5 Things I Say the Most:
¤ "I love you!"
¤ "Whattcha think'n?"
¤ "No problem, that's ok." (Even though it usually IS a problem)
¤ "GRANOOOOLLLLA!!!!" (Our dog)
¤ "Where'd I put my water?"

5 Celebrity Crushes:
I really don't care for most "celebrities"...their personal lives are usually in ruins.

5 People to tag:
Well, I'm not sure who's all been tagged and who hasn't, so if you're reading this and you haven't been tagged yet, consider this your tag! Oh, and please post a comment here so I know who I tagged. -Thanks!

No I didn't forget about you!

Wow, it's been awhile since my last post!! Sorry! I've been pretty busy lately and I've been trying to go to bed early with J so I don't have as much free time to play online. I've started Christmas shopping already. J thinks I'm crazy, LOL. I'm using FlyLady's Holiday Control Journal, of course, so it's going to be another enjoyable holiday season for me. It's SO nice to not have to stress during the holidays and be able to focus on what's really important to me (faith, family & friends). The only problem with thinking about Christmas now is that I think my brain is skipping over October's harvest time and Thanksgiving. It's jumping straight into winter, LOL. For instance, I keep forgetting to pick up a pumpkin while I'm out and about. J loves roasted pumpkin seeds, and he's going to miss out on "fresh from the oven" ones if I don't snap to it and get one LOL.

Card making

Yesterday I made cards for a card swap I go to with some ladies from church. Below is the card I made to exchange (it was a winter themed swap). I embossed the swirls and "Winter Wishes" text on the front and inside it I embossed the text "Wishing you toasty toes and a warm nose" and the snowman and then bleached his body. At the swap we made these two cards:

All in all it was really fun. I haven't had a chance to "play" in awhile, and I always enjoy getting together with the other ladies and catching up on what's going on in eachother's lives.
