This summer my 6 yr old niece is staying with us so we've been doing a ton of different crafts in between seeing a good chunk of the SoCal museums and attractions.
Our first project was a journal for her to write in daily about what we've done. It should be interesting to read back over and to also see how her writing changes with the practice.
Also, looking back through my photos you'll notice how my niece sometimes has an eye patch on...it's to strengthen her eyes while she's doing detail work like writing, coloring, and other artsy things.
Here's a list of some of the crafty things we've done:

- flower jar - threaded flowers onto pipe cleaners

- painting a birdhouse with acrylic paint

...and we hope to make a T-shirt, do some finger crochet, and more!
