Two Scrapbook Pages: Chickadee & The LA Zoo

Normally I don't add multiple layouts to one blog post...but since I've been meaning to post these for awhile now, I'm going to!  I used the Simple Scrapper July sketches for both of them.

I love this photo of my niece!  Super cute!

I used a lot of American Crafts and Studio Calico stuff on this layout.  I love the fresh & fun feel it has!  I added a bit of paint and doodling to the edges of the photo too.

And more of the Imaginisce i-rock heart studs!!  I told you, I use them on everything!!  I put them inside a border ("quatrefoil borders") I cut out with my Silhouette.

Ok, and here's the other layout I did.  We took my other niece to the LA Zoo and here's just some of the pics from there.  -Such a fun day!
Erin Bassett - BoBunny - Zoology - LO - LA ZooI think just about everything on this layout is from the BoBunny Zoology line...well, except the twine and mini paperclip.

Christmas Ornament & Card

Handmaking Christmas ornaments is always fun and the perfect thing for older kids to do.

While this ornament looks complicated to cut and fold, it was actually really easy and took about a minute or two to do thanks to my Silhouette.  I just cut out the "star" design, folded it, and then assembled it.  Of course I had to add a few extra touches to it as well. ;)

And then I made a card with some more of the Imaginisce "Santa's Little Helper" line.  I added some burlap to it to make it homey.  I also used my Silhouette on this...it's the "fall card kit" design.

Christmas in July

Have you even begun to think about the holidays yet?  -With the way the days seem to whip by they will be here before we even know it.

Imaginisce just released their new holiday line this week, "Santa's Little Helper"...which I used to create this layout of my niece when she was just 15 days old.

Scrapbooking: Up, up, and away

In the interest of catching up on stuff...this post will be short.  ;)

I made this layout for Remember When, they are participating again in the SoCal Shop Hop...this year the theme is "travel."

Erin Bassett - Authentique - Travel

Not sure why the background paper photographed so wonky in color...it's really pretty in real life.

I used one of the store's die cut machines to cut out the corrugated cardboard.  Of course I had to splatter it a bit with paint.

I also sewed on a piece of ribbon so that it ruffled.

Back from stay-cation

E and V - Disneyland CA We had a great stay-cation here in Los Angeles...my brother & niece flew in and we all had a great time.

I'm catching up on email & social media right now and hope to post some projects shortly.  (I flaked at writing them ahead of time and having them auto-post during this vacation.)

If I owe you an e-mail hold tight...I'll catch up soon!!  Hopefully!  ;)
