Glimmer Misted Sticky Back Canvas Bookmark

Happy Memorial Day weekend!  A special & deep thanks for those who've given their lives for our freedom...we are truly blessed by their service.

Erin Bassett - Studio- Sticky Back Canvas Bookmark - Craft Critique 4 I'm so happy I finally get to share this bookmark with you...I made it awhile ago & I love it so much!!  It's one of the crafts featured in my article over on Craft Critique...stop by there & see what else you can do with Sticky Back Canvas!!

To make it I rubbed some gesso on the canvas with my finger so that it didn't cover the canvas completely and then when it was dry I stamped it with some of my favorite new stamps using Staz-On.  Next I sprayed it with some Glimmer Mist, mounted it on a piece of extra fabric, and then gave it some machine stitching for detail {It didn't need the stitching to be secure to the fabric.} and frayed the edges of the fabric.

The Dynamic Duo: Imaginisce + Core'dinations

This week Imaginisce and Core'dinations are having a blog swap!!  Here's some cards I made with both of the manufactures products:

For this first card I embossed the Core'dinations cardstock using my Cuttlebug and then jazzed it up with Imaginisce pattered paper, chipboard, ribbon, and iRock Hot Rocks.

For this next card I embossed it with my Cuttlebug and then ran a chalk ink pad over the embossing to highlight it and then used Imaginisce pattered paper, stickers, rub-ons, ribbon, and iRock Hot Rocks and a Studio G stamp to finish it off:

Ribbon Flower Necklace {using the Knifty Knitter}

Erin Bassett - Knifty Knitter - Ribbon Flower Necklace2Blog
Here's the necklace I made for my post over on the Mixology Crafts blog this week.  {You can download the tutorial &/or see the video tutorial here.}

Do you see the gorgeous angelina fibers there in the center?  One of my friend recently introduced me to them and I do have to say I'm in L.O.V.E!!

Here's how the angelina fibers look once you use you put them between paper towels and iron them to bond them together...isn't that color fabulous!!  It's call "peacock" appropriately enough!
